there is real peace and beauty at this lake just spent a great morning walking this lake with two friends and dogs--it is hard to find a nicer place!
Lake Gregory located in Crestline less than 10 min from Lake Arrowhead. This is a county lake. It is large and takes about an hour to hike around. It has a beautiful scenic path for hiking. Half of the lake is for fisherman and boaters. There are small boat rentals. You can fish from shore or boat. The lake is stocked and has great fishing.
The other half of the lake is for us- the beaches, swimming, water slides, great fast food, views forever, float bikes, surf float boards to rent, shallow very clean water for kids to splash and play. They require small children under 4 to wear life vests that they provide. There is attentive life guards. There is a beach near activity or one more secluded.
If you can not tolerate full sun there are large oak trees to shade you. Spread a blanket, read a book, picnic or enjoy watching the swimmers. My grandkids love this lake as did their parents when they were little.
